Pored svetovnih slika sa scenama mitološkog karaktera i scenama lova,Rubens slika i mnoge oltarne slike na kojima se ističe dinamična kompozicija.Na ovim slikama postepeno menja karakter ikone,kao što je to slučaj u ranijim delima ,u dinamične kompozicije u kojima se ističe retorička izražajnost.
